Lift Bridge, Selkirk, MB 1
The Selkirk carry bridge, constructed throughout the despair of the 1930s, spans the Purple River connecting East Selkirk and Selkirk. It’s one in all only some remaining bridges during which the centre portion lifts, by way of big concrete counter weights suspended from the towers, to permit giant ships to cross via.

Finest considered giant on black (click on "L")
