Athlete sells Rio medal to assist Three-year-old with eye most cancers

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Polish discus thrower Piotr Malachowski has bought the silver medal he received on the Rio de Janeiro Olympics to assist pay for the medicine of a Three-year-old boy affected by eye most cancers.

Malachowski mentioned on Fb that siblings Dominika and Sebastian Kulczyk, among the many richest Poles, ”declared the intention to purchase my silver medal,” which he put up for public sale to assist pay for remedy of the boy, Olek, who’s affected by retinoblastoma.
