On April ninth, Their Royal Highnesses The #PrinceofWales, The #DukeofCambridge and #PrinceHarry attended the Commemoration for the Centenary of #Vimy Battle in France #Vimy100. The commemorations honoured the Canadians troopers who fougth and died throughout the WW1. The royals and the Governor Basic of Canada David Johnston, every sporting a Remembrance poppy, started their go to on Sunday afternoon by visiting a preserved tunnel and trenches reconstructed a couple of years after the top of the First World Conflict, at Vimy Memorial Park on the location of the historic battle close to the city of Arras.
The battle, which started early on April 9 1917, was half of a bigger British-led offensive, that includes Australian troops, often known as the Battle of Arras.
